It dismissed the party comments, stressing that such allegations are unfounded and threaten the credibility of the electoral system. The Commission affirmed that the elections were conducted with utmost transparency following strict protocols to guarantee fairness.

It also pointed out that any party dissatisfied with the outcome has access to proper legal channels to address concerns. Urging restraint, the Commission called on political parties to refrain from rhetoric that could diminish public trust in the democratic process, while reiterating that the results accurately reflected the people choice.

The meeting follows claims by several Congress leaders expressing doubts about the vote-counting process in multiple constituencies.

A day after facing a crushing defeat in the Haryana polls, a delegation of Congress leaders is scheduled to meet the Election Commission of India (ECI) today at 6 pm in Delhi.

The meeting was prompted by concerns raised by several Congress leaders regarding the vote-counting process in multiple constituencies.

In a letter addressed to Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, the Election Commission acknowledged the remarks made by Congress leaders and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who termed the Haryana poll results as unexpected and suggested conducting an analysis of the elections.

Proceeding on the assumption that the statement of the Party President represents the official party stance on the election outcome, the ECI has agreed to meet the Congress delegation today at 6 PM the letter stated.

Earlier Rahul Gandhi in a post on X hinted at a possible meeting with the Election Commission to file a complaint regarding alleged issues with the EVM machines.

We are analysing the unexpected result of Haryana. We will inform the Election Commission about the complaints coming from many Assembly constituencies. Heartfelt thanks to all the people of Haryana for their support and to our party workers for their tireless hard work. We will continue this fight for rights for social and economic justice for truth and will keep raising your voice he said.

Defying exit-poll predictions the BJP secured a sweeping victory in the Haryana Assembly elections winning 48 of the 90 seats. Congress despite 10 years of anti-incumbency against the BJP managed to win 37 Assembly seats.
