A stunning diamond necklace valued at over lakhs has been stolen from the residence of actress Poonam Dhillon. The precious piece of jewelry was taken under mysterious circumstances leaving the actress shaken. Police have initiated an inquiry into the incident in hopes of identifying the thief and recovering the stolen item.
The individual who was reportedly employed at the house also made off with Rs.35,000/- in cash and some foreign currency police said.

A diamond necklace valued at over lakhs was stolen from Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon home in Mumbai on Monday. Along with the necklace the thief also made off with Rs.35,000/- in cash and some foreign currency according to the police.
The suspect 37 years old Sameer Ansari had been working at the actor Khar residence from December 28 to January 5 as part of team hired to paint the flat. During this period he allegedly took advantage of an unlocked cupboard and stole the valuables.
While Poonam Dhillon primarily resides in Juhu she frequently visits her Khar home where her son Anmol lives.
Reports suggest that Ansari used portion of the stolen money to throw a party.
Poonam Dhillon was last seen in the film Jai Mummy Di where she starred alongside Sonnalli Seygall and Sunny Singh. She has appeared in numerous other films such as Pathar Ke Insan, Jai Shiv Shankar, Ramaiya Vastavaiya and Batwara among others.
