Party leader Arvind Kejriwal announced that individuals over the age of 60 will receive free treatment under the Sanjeevani Yojana.
New Delhi: Ahead of the Delhi elections in February next year the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced free treatment for senior citizens at all government and private hospitals. Party leader Arvind Kejriwal stated that individuals over the age of 60 would receive free medical care under the Sanjeevani Yojana if his party retains power in the capital.
It is now our responsibility to take care of you. You have worked hard to help the country progress said the former Delhi chief minister.
The AAP also revealed its list of candidates for all 70 Delhi Assembly seats. Mr. Kejriwal confirmed he would contest from the New Delhi seat while Chief Minister Atishi will run from the Kalkaji constituency.
There will be no cap on treatment costs. Registration will begin in a day or two. AAP volunteers will visit your homes for registration and provide you with a card. Keep it safe. Once we come to power after the elections we will implement this policy Mr. Kejriwal added.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to hold a preparatory meeting this week regarding next year Delhi elections. Poll dates are expected to be announced soon after this meeting.
