The CEO of Meta new luxury watch has been making headlines after it was seen on his wrist in a recent Instagram video.
According to a Moneycontrol report Zuckerberg was seen wearing the world thinnest mechanical watch timepiece from an Italian luxury brand.
The Octo Finissimo Ultra SOSC is just 1.7 mm thick roughly the size of two stacked credit cards. It boasts remarkable precision losing only 0.2 seconds per day one of the lowest discrepancies for any timepiece globally. It is an incredibly limited edition with only 20 pieces set to be produced. Each watch comes with a custom designed case that not only stores the timepiece but also automatically winds and sets it. The design of the watch allows its ultra thin case to house as many as 170 individual components. The main plate is crafted from tungsten carbide while titanium is used for the bracelet, lugs and bezel. Additionally the watch has been certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). This luxury item is priced at a staggering $5,90,000/- (approximately ₹5 crore).
Last month Zuckerberg one of the wealthiest individuals globally was also seen wearing another high end watch the De Bethune DB25 starry varius aerolite. Its retail price is estimated at $2,60,000 (around ₹2.20 crore) with only five units produced each year.
