Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu’s and First Lady Sajida Mohamed visited the famous Taj Mahal in Agra. Muizzu’s stated that it was challenging to convey the monument’s beauty, saying that words simply cannot do it justice.
Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu’s, on a four-day bilateral visit to India, visited the Taj Mahal with First Lady Sajida Mohamed. In the visitors’ book, Muizzu’s expressed that describing the mausoleum’s beauty is challenging, noting that words simply cannot do it justice and highlighting the intricate details as a testament to love and architectural excellence. They were welcomed to Uttar Pradesh by Cabinet Minister Yogendra Upadhyay on behalf of Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath at the airport.
Cabinet Minister Yogendra Upadhyay presented a replica of the Taj Mahal to President Muizzu’s and First Lady Sajida Mohamed, who posed for photos with the monument in the background. The Taj Mahal was closed to the public from 8 am to 10 am due to Muizzu’s visit. He also toured Shilpgram, an open-air crafts village, where he enjoyed a performance by Braj region artists. On Monday, Muizzu’s held bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, resulting in several agreements, including a currency swap and the launch of the Rupay card in the Maldives.
